I how can I make a 90 degree phase shift of the output signal with respect to the input signal with Sigmastudio for the DSP Board ADAU1467 for
a bandwidth of 80 to about 16,000Hz ?
This is not possible with the available Hilbert transformation because with this transformation the phase shift between input and output depends on the frequency

On the internet I do come across information that it should be possible with all pass filters, but I have not yet been able to find a useful solution.

Is there anyone who can help me on my way?

Hi,

Following works for you as far as input frequency and all pass filter frequency is equal. You can use signal invert lagging or leading phase difference..

Just Select :Filters->First Order-General.

Good Lucks,

Hello,

It appears that the OP is looking for a constant 90 degrees phase shift over his entire frequency range. The Hilbert Transform maintains a 90 degree difference between its two outputs over frequency, yet both outputs include a variable shift from the transform's input. Thus, you can just forget the input and use the two outputs where you need the 90 degree phase relationship, as shown below:

.

As far as I know, there's nothing better. In fact, if you're looking to create a real-world (analog) signal with a constant 90 degree shift from an input analog signal, you have an additional problem since the A/D and D/A converters in most codecs and built-in converters (other than those designed for noise-cancelling headphones) have a significant time delay. This increases the phase lag, proportional to frequency.

Best regards,

Bob

Hello Bob,

Thanks
You confirm my hunch.
I think I will indeed look more in the direction of noise-canceling

Best regards

Hi Bob,

There's no correlation between input and output in terms of phase shift and does not help to make phase shift 90 degree of any input signal. I have tried H transformer and Filter solution. None of them works perfectly. For the frequencies between 35Hz and 68Khz phase diff between real and imaginary part is 90 degree at H Transformer outputs, but you should add inverter before DAC3 output(Imaginery Part) .

Kind Regards,
