Hello. I'm trying to make a limiter. When it reaches the limit, I want to light the external led. When I use the limiter, the limiter does not work. I don't understand the calculations on the site either. Is there a more detailed document?

Hello,

The DSP Read's 5.19 format suggests you're working with the ADAU1701. I tried the Limiter on my board and discovered to my surprise, that it just doesn't work for me either. More specifically, there's no audio output at all, and the Limiter Flag is unresponsive as well. When I bypass the Limiter I hear output. I still have SigmaStudio 3.15 so I tried it there and still no output -- this is strange because I know that this version of the Limiter has worked in the past.

As a workaround, use any of the Compressors with a curve set up as a limiter, as shown below:

The Absolute Value and Comparator blocks set up a substitute "limiter flag."

Best regards,

Bob
