Two Significant Question
Dear Team ,
I have two questions pertaining to the Sigma ADAU1452.
The first one is regarding the Parameter RAM that is visible in IC params window .
I have some contents in an external Flash Memory
I see that in all fairness the maximum Parameter Address is only 20 K out of the total 40K but few of my modules may be mapped beyond the 20 K memory boundary .
Is there a way to see those Parameter Address and data because i have no way to see the Flash memory contents by Link Compile Download .
Secondly I have a filter , the Medium EQs , is there a way to write the co- efficiencts directly to these filters. I can export Txt files for other filter modules but not for the Medium EQ under Gen 2nd order
Regards,
Hermione

Hello Hermione,
The legacy framework code in SigmaStudio did not support the upper pages of the memory in the newer Sigma350 parts. So you cannot see it in SigmaStudio. You need to use a controller. When you export the system files you get the address information for the object. You can also see it in the Capture window when you communicate using the GUI. Keep in mind that there is page setting that has to be set to point to the upper pages and then point it back to normal after you write or read from the upper page. It can cause issues later if it is not set to page 0.
Regarding the Medium EQ.
There are three types, which one are you using?
Two of them use slew to new values when changed. The no slew version does not.
Look at this screenshot
This is the params window where I dropped in one of each type.
The no slew one is MidFilter1, and the coefficients are shown and can be directly written to.
The other two only show the current filter value not the target value. When changing these you need to write to the target value so that the slew will slew to the new value. You can see where it is writing to in the capture window. I did not check the system files output but I would expect the Target address will be revealed in those files. I do not have the time right now to check this.

Hello Hermione,
As Dave said, the Target address can be seen in the PARAM.h file in the exported files. Only target address of the co-effs will be available in the exported files and not the address shown in the above screenshot (eg.40,41,..). Which means you should only write to that target address.
If you adjust the slider of those modules with slew then the co-effs values won't be changed in the capture window.(values in the address 40,41,...) .But if you find the target address( in this case 24584,24585,....) and scroll down all the way to those addresses in Sigmastudio. There you can see the value changes as you adjust the slider.
Note that I used ADAU1467, so that can see addresses up to 40959 in Sigmastudio.

Dear Dave ,
Well I understood what you're basically trying ro say is "No , you cannot see beyond the 20 K parameter RAM that i s visible in the IC Parameter Window "
In that context , do I then atleast get the privilege of mapping just a particular module any filter/Compressor/module within this 20 K while I am just loading the code .

Hermione
