Hi,

I am working on ADAU1787. I am trying to connect two digital mic with adau1787. single mic is working properly. I connected two mic on same line.

3V3 -------- 1.8v // J7

GND -------- GND //J7

SEL --------- 1.8v for one mic and GND for second mic

CLK --------- CLK0 //J5

DATA -------- DATA 0/1 //J5

I connected two mic with adau1467 and it is working properly. I am facing Issue with ADAU1787.

Is there anything wrong I did in this.

Hello harishsharma,

Do you mean you connected the 3.3V input on the mic to the 1.8V supply on J7? Because this part and this eval board will not take 3.3V input, 1.8V is the max for a nominal IOVDD. It will go 5 or 10% above this but not to 3.3V. But I think you were just making the connection to the mic.

So can the mic operate at 1.8V? I do see that you said one mic works. I also see you assigned the different clock edges with the SEL pin. It seems like you are doing the correct things. Check your microphone specifications.

Also, look at the output with a scope to see what is actually happening on the data line with respect to the clock.

Send screenshots.

Hello Harishsharma,

I am looking through posts on the forum and I see three different threads from you for the same basic question of using a PDM mic. So I just answered this post and wasted my time because it was answered elsewhere. Please do not post the same questions multiple times. Can you go back and delete the posts that do not have any relevant information?

Thanks,
