Have an idea, hopefully someone can implement this idea for me And I would like to have a 5-band dynamic processor, so to speak, like a compressor, only that it only pulls these 5 bands, e.g. 500hz, 2000hz, 10000hz, etc. from -20db a little louder to get more dynamics in the music the normal music line should remain and only these frequencies then always at a certain volume eg-20db only a little bit louder. Do you understand how I mean I would be very happy for help Had tried something like that before but always changes the complete music and it does the opposite

Hello,

Perhaps the first question is, which DSP chip are you working with? Recent versions of SigmaStudio include a Multiband Compressor for the ADAU145x and above. If you're using one of these chips you may wish to try it if you haven't already. In the example below its four bands are set to:

400 Hz and below

400 Hz -- 2 KHz

2K Hz -- 10 KHz

10 KHz and above

As you can see, it offers plenty of adjustments. As shown I tried it on an old ADAU1452 eval board and found it works well. Unlike ordinary compressors, the multiband compressor brings out low-level dialog in a movie without overly amplifying noise. If you're using a Sigma 300/350 chip like the -1452 or -1467, this is the simplest way to go.

If on the other hand you're running a ADAU1701, unfortunately SigmaStudio doesn't include this in its toolbox. However, something like this can be set up with crossover filters and straight compressors. What have you tried already, and how did it work? I can help with any additional questions.

Best regards,

Bob

I have an adau1701, I've already tried it with a compressor, a peak filter on 8Q and the desired frequency, but that changed my whole music and took away all the richness

but please save it with the multiband compressor and post it here, maybe it can be inserted that way

Hello,

Here's the -1452 version:

1452-Multiband-Comp.dspproj

The next file is an example for the ADAU1701. Since its toolbox doesn't include the Multiband Compressor, this project uses a three-way crossover and three plain compressors. The 6 dB attenuation attempts to make the average level about the same for compression ON and Off, to make comparison easier.

Yes, but what you have done to me changes everything, for example, should only do win in the range from 300 to 500 hz and it should remain the same

expander versuch.dspprojI've tried it here, but that doesn't change anything. I want the original sound to remain and only certain areas, smaller areas, to be changed and strengthened

Hello Lorenzo4711,

KJBob gave you a good example file.

I will add my own file with a simple example.

You are going to have to adjust the crossover frequencies and compression settings to obtain the results you are looking for.
