Takahiro Question

Hi all,

DataSheet(Rev. A | Page 207 of 207) has data for OUTLINE DIMENSIONS.
https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/ADAU1463-1467.pdf

It says "COMPLIANT TO JEDEC STANDARDS MO-220", but it looks different from the normal pattern.
Could you tell me why this pattern is used?

Takahiro

Takahiro,

Thanks for your inquiry. While this is not a very common footprint, it is included as part of the JEDEC standard. I'm not exactly sure why the manufacturing group chose the footprint with the extended finger pads. If you don't want to draw it yourself, the footprint is available on analog.com (here) in UltraLibrarian format. This free tool can generate output for most popular PCB software.
