BUG! Sigma Studio TCP-IP completely Broken after update to 4.6, also to 4.7
Hi guys, the communication functionality via TCP-IP is non functional since update version 4.6 of Sigma Studio, this is a recurring problem, in which the BUGs were not solved, but its functionality was completely broken this time, as it no longer works.
DaveThib, as we've talked about this before, you said it would be resolved, but it's getting worse with every update, can you give us a heads up and resolve this quickly?
Analog Devices needs to change its thinking about solving problems in Sigma Studio, enough incompetence, Sigma Studio developers hired by Analog Devices can't solve them.
Try to read from TCP-IP, Sigma Studio ( 4.5 and early) will receive and get data, except if data size is greather than 1020 bytes on each packet.
Try to read from TCP-IP, Sigma Studio ( 4.6 and 4.7) will reject any response packet.
We customers need to have this problem resolved.

Hello Rocha,
Thanks for the update. I will report your comments and findings.

I can use TCP/IP read functionality with a self-written TCP server application (sigmadsp Python server), however I agree with the bug report in that it is not stable at all.
Reading a single register usually works fine. Reading a lot of registers in quick succession (e.g. by means of "read all registers") leads to SigmaStudio crashing after receiving a number of read responses.
If I deliberately delay read responses by, for example, 500 ms each, then SigmaStudio does not crash. I guess that it is somehow overwhelmed with packets and some buffer is overflowing?
This is true for SigmaStudio 4.6 and 4.7. I have not tested other versions.

I cannot agree more with this.
Hi Rocha
I designed a small dsp pcb with the adau4166 and adc dac. I'm using it on my poweramp board (4 x 600Watt 4xIrs2092).
The poweramp board has also a esp32.
Is it possible to control this with tcp/ip (wifi) through the esp32.
