Can ADAU1701 to use a software flag?
Hello,
I want to use flag to indicate some status when I detect something.
I can use MP pin for GPIO hardware indication to outside MCU controller.
Here is mine 1701 pin setting:
Currently, I have 4 GPIO out, and other is use for I2S and clock, I don't have more GPIO to do the indicator.
What if I want to use more, like flag or something, how should I do it?
Can 1701 use software flag inside? then I can use outside controller to read the register to get the flag status from the I2C communication.

Hello Alvis,
Just use a DC cell. if you need to communicate from an external MCU to the DSP program. If you need to communicate from something in the DSP out to the MCU then just use a readback cell and have the MCU read the value.
