ADAU1467 Eval Board 192kHz Setup/ Project Example
Hi - I am looking to design a dsp so I bought the EVAL-ADAU1467Z kit. I have read quite a bit on this forum about running 192kHz on this board and read of some issues people were having.
To avoid issues, can analog devices provide me with an example Sigma Studio project set up for 192kHz for this eval board? I know how to set it on the main page but setting up the registers and everything I get confused and don't want to miss any steps.
I just need 2 in 4 out for audio.
Thank you,
- Eric
Hello Eric,
Please refer the attached project. In this project, everything is already set for 192KHz. i.e. Core sample rate, Software sample rate, serial ports sample rate and start pulse. The CODEC sample rate is also set for 192KHz.The codec is being programmed (by I2C) to run at 192KHz by Master control port (Instructions are sent to codec from the xml file via Master control port block).
In the given project, please don't remove or touch the below blocks that is for codec programming. Please create your program flow below those two blocks.
You will need to run everything at 192KHz as configured in this project. If the core is set for one rate and serial ports are set for another rate OR the serial ports are set for one rate and the codec is set for some other rate means you will have a timing problem. It applies for software fs and start pulse rates as well. So please make sure that every system runs on the same rate.
If you want to know more about Sigmadsp sample rate settings, then please refer this link.
