Hello Gen,

Is there anyone be able to help below? I have been posted for while but no answer.

What is relationship between index_fp_hi Q21.11 and index_fp_lo Q32.0?

These setting was posted bitmachnic.

Should I use this Q21.11 and Q32.0 to get Q8.24 sin result?

What is the formula?

Hello Jason,

Can you provide a link to the original post so we can see context?

Hello Jason,

Look at this graphic I put together:

Theta is going from 0--1 over the 2pi period of a sine wave.

So when theta is 0, 0.5 and 1 the sine will be zero.

So translate that to degrees by multiplying Theta by 360.

So 360 * 0.5 = 180. Sine of 180 =0.

360 * 0.25 = 90, Sine of 90 = 1

360 +0.125 = 45, sine of 45 = 0.707 and you see that in the screenshot you showed.

To use this you supply the theta from 0-1 and the rest is taken care of by the program and you read out the sin(theta*360) using a readback in 8.24 format.

This should help you use this.

Hello David,

Thank you. The original link is below

How to calculate value of sin and cos? There is no cell for ADAU1452 but it has on Shark.

However, this is what I know. What is unknown is use Q21.11 and Q32.0 combine.

Tanks.
