Thread Summary

The user cannot connect the Aardvark block to the ADAU1787 in SigmaStudio due to the interface not being set up. The workaround is to use Control Center for communication, while SigmaStudio uses a USBi, ensuring no simultaneous communication. Relevant products: ADAU1787, Aardvark, USBi.

I am trying to use an Aardvark with SigmaStudio to connect to an ADAU1787. SigmaStudio will not let me draw a connection from the AARDVARK block to the IC 1 block for the ADAU1787. For other interfaces (like the USBi), I can draw the connection to the ADAU1787. The Aardvark block can draw connections to other DSPs (like the ADAU1462). Is there a trick to getting the Aardvark working with the ADAU7187? Thanks.

Hello Jasonc,

This means the programmers never set it up to be able to use the Aardvark interface.

If it is not setup it will not allow the connection. I do not know why they did not set this up but they did not.

You could use Control Center to talk to the part but not using SigmaStudio. You would have to have SigmaStudio using a USBi and then be careful that they are not both communicating with the part at the same time. Not exactly easy to do.
