Thread Summary

The user encountered multiple definitions in the 'IC_PARAM.H' file when exporting a basic project for MCU integration using SigmaStudio 4.5. The issue was resolved by using SigmaStudio 4.7, which correctly exports the header files. The accompanying answer suggested checking the DLL and DSP configuration, which could be specific to a part, and requested the project file for further analysis.

Hi,

I have seen that when I export my project so I can integrate it with my mcu code. I am getting multiple definitions in "IC_PARAM.H" file.

I have a made a very basic project to show the issue I am facing. My schematic is as below

I exported the project to get the header files I can use with my main mcu project. But I get error of multiple definitions in the file "Design 1_IC_1_PARAM.H ". And I can see it in this file that the module "AVC" does have multiple definitions as you can see in the image below.

Is there any way I can generate this export so that it does not have same define names? Or is there anyway I can modify my schematic AVC block so it does not assign same address to the block that has different values?

Regards,
Abdullah

Hello Abdullah,

Which DLL are you using? What that means is which DSP is in the configuration window?

This is where I am asking for you to check.

Because it could be an error with the DLL for one specific part. Feel free to attach your project.

Hello Dave,

Please excuse me to add my reply here.

Abdullah,

I think this is an issue with sigmastudio 4.5. I could simulate the same with SS version 4.5.

So, please try using sigmastudio 4.7. It seems those files are exported as expected in SS 4.7.

Harish
