Description: For a hearing therapy project I need to create a portable player that is capable of playing a wav file of 4 audio channels. For this, I am thinking of using the AD1938 DAC and an esp32-S2 microcontroller, using an external memory where the wav files would be. My question is if the AD-1938 DAC would be useful to me for this.

Hello Pams,

It seems to me that the AD1934 would be more cost effective if you do not need the ADCs for an analog input.

If you could use some DSP processing then you could use the ADAU1701 which has four DACs.

We have other parts that are lower power but not quad DACs. The ADAU1787 or the ADAU1372 are two possibilities depending on what your IOVDD voltage is. The problem with the ADAU1372 is that it is only stereo so you would need two of them. However, it is a fairly small part and lower power.
