Dear Team,

When comparing with ADAU1452, available memory is increased in ADAU1466. While verifying data sheet of ADAU1466, it seems that concept of 'paging' of memory control is introduced for this memory increase.

When we are comparing the simple code compiled in ADAU1452 & ADAU1466. Parameter Address list is same.

We understand parameter address should be different as in the below table. Please share your feedback in this.

ADAU1452 Processor
ADAU1466 Processor

Mute per Ch:
Parameter Address = 1562
Mute per Ch:
Parameter Address = 1562L

Vol_Main:
Parameter Address = 1563
Vol_Main:
Parameter Address = 1562U

All addresses in the export files are expressed in terms of Core Address. We understand, Parameter address should be in 'Slave Port mapped addresses' to handle with Slave Control ports. Please share your feedback in this.

Hello KS2021,

You will need to "Export System Files" to get all the files needed to import into a system controller code. One of those files is the Params.h file and that file has all of the addresses of the parameters along with the page they reside on.

To keep the Sigma300, ADAU145x family of processors code compatible with the newer Sigma350, ADAU146x . We kept the lower memory exactly the same. Then we doubled the memory by simply adding a page to place them on a upper page.

So the two memories share the same addresses but there is a page variable that must be set before you access the upper page. It is good practice to set it back to the lower page after the access. Therefore you will find parameters that seem to conflict but do not.

Here is a post that explains it in more detail:
