Selfboot problem on ADAU1787
I'm using EVAL-ADAU1787Z to test ADAU1787 and I would appreciate your assistance.
I'm experiencing an issue when attempting to perform SELFBOOT.
Following the instructions on page 10 of the datasheet, when I select "No Sequence File Needed" during EEPROM writing, the following states are observed upon power-up (either a or b, depending on the case): a) The output remains silent, and pressing the reset button does not result in a restart. b) The output exhibits abnormal waveforms, and pressing the reset button restores normal operation.
However, when I select "Default Boot Sequence" during EEPROM writing, the device starts up without any issues.
I'm wondering why this discrepancy occurs.

Yojiyabe,
SigmaStudio uses a default boot sequence to properly sequence the clocking setup, DVDD enable, FDSP/SDSP RUN bits, etc. so that the project will boot successfully. If no default sequence is being used then the user must ensure the proper sequencing is followed in their own sequence that they are writing to the EEPROM.
One place to start is to Link Compile Download the project with the Default Boot Sequence, and then Link Compile Download the project with no boot sequence and see the difference.
If there is no reason not to use the Default Boot Sequence, then I would use that to ensure proper sequencing of clocks vs power up vs processor run bits, etc.
galvinpjg,
Thank you for your response. I was able to understand the content.
