Hello,

I have a few questions about general filters:

1、What is the difference between the General (2nd Order) and General EQ (2nd Order) plugins?

2、In the Parametric filter, there are two Q. What is the difference between these two Q?

3、The All-pass filter can realize the signal phase offset (0 °~360 °). In the filter settings, there are only cut-off frequency, Q, gain, but no phase offset settings. How to achieve phase offset?

4、What is the role of cut-off frequency in the All-pass filter?

5、Is there a difference between a first-order All-pass filter and a second-order All-pass filter?

6、I want to use the Linkwitz-Riley filter, but I haven't found the Linkwitz-Rileyfilter in the general filter plugin. How can I achieve it?

Hello,

Below mentioned post will answer some of your questions. Bob has written a great post on this topic.

For Linkwitz-Riley filter - How to use basic Second order filter to implement the Linkwitz-Riley Filter

For all pass filter - 1st order All Pass Filter formula for phase adjustment

Please look at the plot and below and see the phase response of the 1st and 2nd order filter.

By using stimulus and probe, you can see and understand how the frequency response changes when you change the Q (BW) the knob and the slider.
