Custom boot support in Sigma
Dear Team,
In SHARC Processor, Custom Booting is supported. Can we Implement custom booting in Sigma DSP ADAU1452 processor?
If supported, please share the procedure for implementing Custom Boot in SigmaDSP ADAU1452.

Hello Hermione,
You may have to define what you need to be "custom".
We do have a block that will allow for you to setup four different variants that can be selected at bootup time. This was designed for use by automotive customers to allow for the same hardware platform to be used in several car models. Some cars have more speakers and they all are different sizes so the EQ tuning will be different so these variants will load in different parameters for the different models. Parameters can be things like mutes or switches which gives you a lot of flexibility for setting up different signal flows. You cannot have different programs, just different sets of parameters.
The selection can be done with DC cells but it is much more useful to use GPIO to have the hardware "tell" the DSP what version to load.
