Can SigmaStudio be used to generate an EQ curve from a frequency response file?

I would like to emulate the frequency response of a loudspeaker using SigmaStudio. This is something like the opposite of Auto EQ where you are trying to use DSP to flatten an uneven response. Rather I am trying to "clone" the uneven response of a speaker using DSP. Is this possible in SigmaStudio? I would be importing the data from Room E Q Wizard. Please note that I am new to SigmStudio and DSP in general, so just exploring what is possible.

Dave

Hello,

You can use sigma studio to plot the frequency response of your speaker system. The data file that you upload should be in MLSSA format which is specified here.

This below post explains how to import REW data into sigma studio and it has a lot of info on Auto EQ and a detailed explanation of how to use it. You can also refer the wiki page here.

If you only want to plot and see the frequency response, then you can use speaker response module and upload the MLSSA file and see the plot like below. You can also use Auto EQ module and upload the file and see the plot, then you set target response, filtering and all. Refer the above post and wiki link above, it explains everything.

Harish

Hello and thanks for your response. I am not sure if I understand correctly. The "Target Response" is usually assumed as desired to be flat over some bandwidth. This is usually in an attempt to flatten an uneven speaker. What I am proposing is sort of the opposite - I want to use the MLSSA data file (measured with REW) to *create a target response* (not correct it). In other words, I want to "un flatten" a response to mimic the response of the speaker that has been previously measured. I already have been successful importing REW FR data file into SigmaStudio, so that part I know how to do, but I wasn't sure if that same type of data can be used to create a Target Response rather than correct it to a flat target - I hope that makes sense?
