I am confused on which RC slew option to choose. In the previous version of Sigma Studio 4.7 there seemed to be only one option listed as RC slew. In the new version of Sigma Studio+ 2.0 there are different options for RC Accurate, HW RC Slew, and SW Slew depending on the module. Not sure the differences or which would be equivalent to the old version.

ADI North America will be on summer shutdown starting August 24, 2023; perhaps another community member can assist you until our return on September 5th.

Hello kernel,

If you take sigma studio 4.7's volume control. You will see three sub trees which is HW slew, SW slew and No slew.

In hardware slew you will have single and multiple and single slew ext. Both the single and multiple blocks will have four settings those are RC slew, constant dB, Linear and custom.

In No slew, you will have single and multiple

In SW slew >> RC accurate you will have single, multiple and single SW slew vol adjustable.

If you take sigma studio+ 2.0.

When you drag and drop single volume control or multiple control volume and right click and go to slew types, You will have HW RC slew, HW constant dB, HW linear, HW custom (which cover the HW slew in 4.7, ext vol control is separately given above), No slew (Which covers the no slew in 4.7) and RC accurate (which covers the SW> RC accurate, RC single control adjustable is separately given). RC accurate setting is available only for single block.

So, these settings and blocks in SS+ matches with SS4.7.

If you want to understand how these slew works, then please refer to this post. This is one of the very detailed and well written posts on slews by Dave.

Regards,

Harish
