NOLA Question
Jan 9, 2024 00:00

I read here that AD was working on Linux software for programing DSP's. But that was back in 2021. Any updates?

Hi NOLA , are you looking for a Linux package that runs on our DSPs or are you looking for a Linux driver that is capable of flashing/configuring the DSPs? If the latter - it looks like we have something here for the ADU1701: https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/linux-drivers/sound/adau1701

If the former, we have some DSP support for running Yocto on some of our SHARC processors: https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/lnxdsp-adi-meta/wiki/Linux-for-ADSP%E2%80%90SC5xx-3.1.0-Landing-Page (but this support is for the SC5xx DSP family).

Hello Nola,

rButler gave you some great links and help with your question. I just want to point out that there is a space for Linux drivers on the forum:

(+) Linux Software Drivers - EngineerZone (analog.com)

You are in the correct place here for questions about the ADAU1701. Search the forum because there are a lot of posts about this processor and the ADAU1401 is the same processor but is automotive rated.

We have not done many updates to the driver in recent years.
