Fixed register address at pre-compile stage possible?
Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to "set" a register address at pre-compile stage. E.g.; When I compile my SigmaStudio program for an ADAU1452, compiler sets the address of a readback register to 0x0064. After a modification of the program the compiler changed/s the address of this specific register. Now my question:
Can a readback register's address be fixed at pre-compiler stage (within reason/range)?
Reason: I have to access DSP data from en external uP this results in a lot of software modifications in the uP, as the register addresses in the DSP don't remain constant.
Kind regards,
Tom

Hello Tom,
There is a feature called Indirect parameter access table (IPAT), which will let you implement what you want.
Here is the link to that page.

Hi Harish,
Thank you for your prompt reply. That's great! Exactly what I was looking for... a shame I didn't find it myself.
