Does ADI have a recommended input circuit to interface 75ohm coax SPDIF port to the SPDIFIN pin on ADAU1467?

I'd be interested in transformer coupled option to break any ground loop issues that may arise.

Hello JMLEngineeringConsulting,

I suggest you contact these folks. They are super knowledgeable in this topic and have some great products.

Scientific Conversion, Inc. - Transformers and Inductors (scientificonversion.com)

We have used some transformers on some of our eval boards but there were a few errors in some of the old ones and I would have to check to see if there are some newer boards that use transformers and were done properly. Going to the link above will get you in touch with the people I would be reaching out to for help.

Hello Dave,
Sorry for replying to this old thread. But I to am looking for an answer to this question.

Is this datasheet (page 25) https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/user-guides/UG-032.pdf

a good or bad example?

Hello DannerD3H,

I was told a long time ago by an engineer either at Scientific Conversion or at Pulse that the transformer in that example was not correctly implemented. Something was backwards? I would refer to the documentation that you would get from Scientific or Pulse and the other PDF from Rane that I linked to earlier today.
I am curious if you still need an actual coax connection? It seems like I never see these anymore with any new gear. It is always optical in recent years. I think it is because it is some much easier. Transformers are not needed and no ground loops and the plastic optical cables are plentiful and cheap these days. All of our newer eval boards all use optical only. Look at this board:
