Hello All,

I was learning the compressor and got some question. when the compressor was used, the phase of output reversed comparing with the input. shown as the snapshot below, using the project below

.

there was no this problem without compressor.

Could anynone give an explanation?

Is it possible to reverse back to keep the phase synchronization of input and output?

Thanks!

Best Regards

Eason

Hello Eason,

To reverse the phase, place a Signal Invert Block before the affected output (DAC):

According to the ADAU1701 data sheet, its DACs reverse the phase by design:

The DACs are in an inverting configuration. If a signal inversion from input to output is undesirable, it can be reversed either by using an inverting configuration for the output filter or by simply inverting the signal in the SigmaDSP program flow.

Because the DACs invert, we can expect a phase inversion at each analog output. You should see this phase inversion with or without the compressor, since they don't invert. Thus, I don't understand the result you found. You may wish to re-check your experiment.

Best regards,

Bob

Hello Bob,

apreciate for your explanition. I made a mistake with my experiment, and got the wrong result because i used the wrong test positon. Thanks for your response.
