Hi,

I am failing to receive SPDIF signal with sampling rate above 96kHz, is that possible with ADAU1452?

Dear zdr,

Well there must be some questions asked before an answer

What board are you using ? Is it an evaluation board or customised ?

From the symptoms you describe the diagnosis is rather debilitating

The Evaluation Board does not support higher sampling rates you mentioned

However the chip does going by the datasheet

" The S/PDIF receiver works at a wide range of sampling frequencies

between 18 kHz and 192 kHz."

Hello zdr,

There was an internal clocking issue that exists with the ADAU1452 family of parts that limit the speed of the SPDIF ports. That would be the ADAU1452 and the 1451. It is shown in the datasheet:

The max sampling rate is 96kHz.

When we designed the Sigma350 parts we fixed that issue so the ADAU1467 family of parts can go up to 192kHz sampling rate on the SPDIF inputs and outputs.

If you have already designed a board for the ADAU1452 then just drop in an ADAU1462 or ADAU1466 which is a drop in replacement for the 1452.

If you want more GPIO pins and some other features you can go with the ADAU1467/63 which are 88 pin packages instead of 72 pins.
