Since local help and documentation has gone the way of the dodo bird, we're totally reliant on the wiki (and Dave's excellent videos...)

It's not intuitively obvious how the SS+ wiki can be searched where the topic is restricted to only SS+ specific information.

After a bit of trial error it's NOT sigmastudio+ nor sigmastudioplus, but sigmastudiov2, i.e. to search for pages related to filters in SS+ you would enter:

filter @resources:tools-software:sigmastudiov2

Even better than a reminder/hint would be a second search box (i.e. not the site wide one) where you can just type in what you're searching for under SS+. Maybe that's not something a wiki can do.

Thanks

Hello Brewster.

I do not think the Wiki is able to limit the search. I will see what I can find on this.

Hi Dave,

Just to be clear on what I was suggesting, the generic Wiki search box can search a specific topic area by tacking @search_area. on to the query.

My compliant was it wasn't obvious what that was for SS+ and to be helpful it would be good to explain that somewhere. Actually that's why I wrote this issue up, as I knew I would forget how to do this and I could come back and find it here in the forum...

Even better: I think the ADI Wiki would be more user friendly if the pages associated with a topic had a second "local only" search. I'm pretty sure that 99% of the time people searching the Wiki are looking for info on a specific wiki topic and NOT the entire Wiki site.

Along those same lines the EngineerZone forums have the same bug, if you enter something in the search above it looks across all content. Here in the forums you can work around that by starting to enter a question and it tries to find other topics that might be useful.
