Hello, can I connect both adau1401 and adau1701 ic at the same time to use the same usb? If so, how can I do it and can I replace usbi with esp32 to connect the two devices?

Hello samtini,

You need to set the address pins on the two parts to be different addresses. The details are in the datasheet:

You can even program them within one project!

Like this: (note the different address)

The only tricky part of this is the EEPROM. For this to work you will need to have both parts on the same I2C buss which means you can only have one EEPROM on that buss. Many years ago we did experiment in the lab to have multiple DSPs booting off of the same EEPROM and it worked but it is a little risky.

Both DSPs would have to run the exact same program if you try to use one EEPROM. However, you asked about the esp32. The esp32 can also address each DSP by using the different I2C address. Then when you do a system files export you will get the program for each processor in the output files and the uC can load in each program and they do not have to be the same code.
