SW Slew Volume Adjustable RC parameter calculation
Hello i am writing a software element to control the sw slew on the 1452 and am looking at the slew parameter alpha. I see that it is 8 bytes but can not find the equation to generate it. I have seen a lot of posts about the actual time constant relative to slew but there does not seem to be any data on computing the alpha parameter for the real time programming from a processor.
Thanks
Ed
Hello Ed,
There is a formula but I don't think the formula will be available for the users to use. I do not have access to this formula. I looked on the Wiki and did not find it. We might be keeping this proprietary. There are two factors for this formula.
'alpha' and 'om_alpha'. The 'om_alpha' is a cryptic variable name for One Minus alpha.
If you look at the number in the alpha variable and subtract if from 1 you will get the om_alpha parameter.
For value '12',
For value '6',
Hope this is helpful

Harish
Hello Ed,
I will respond and link you to other threads.
this thread details the software slew.

If you want details about the hardware slew this thread has a lot of detail in it and a link to a Python script.
