How to make an anti-phase wave in sigmastudio [adau1772]
Hello
I want to create an inverse signal for the input signal using Sigma Studio.
When I looked into Sigma Studio, there are two ways to invert the signal. 1) DAC inverted/normal 2) PGA ON/bypass
So, are there two ways to invert the signal: using DAC inverted + PGA bypass or using DAC normal + PGA ON?
I thought the above case would invert the input signal, but when I actually compared the input signal and the output signal using OSC, the input signal was inverted in both cases: DAC inverted + PGA ON and DAC normal + PGA bypass.
The result is the opposite of what I expected, so I don't know which is correct.

Hello YeongJi,
The DACs normally invert.
The PGA will normally invert.
So if you choose to invert the DAC you are actually doing the opposite, you are inverting the inversion resulting in a non-inverted signal.
So DAC inverted but going through the PGA will give you an inverted signal.
DAC in normal and bypassing the PGA will give you an inverted signal.
So keep in mind that the "Normal" setting of the DAC will invert the signal. If you invert the DAC then you are inverting the inverted signal making it not inverted. This is enough to drive anyone a bit crazy... LOL. Now we know why Boolean lost his mind!
