Hello, I always get a lot of help here.

We are preparing to develop a new audio system.
Please check the attached file.

I don't think there will be any problem with ADC (AK5574) and DAC (AK4468).
But the problem is with XMOS.
The mclk should be changed according to the sample rate of the sound source.

So SDATA_IN0 coming into ADAU1467 would be a multiple of 44.1 or a multiple of 48.0.

The questions are as follows.

1. Can ASRC on ADAU1467 handle the core clock and other integer multiples of sound source with minimal distortion? (44.1 kHz input when mclk 24.576 MHz)
As far as I understand, ASRC handles sources from different clocks without problems. But I was wondering if this could also convert to clocks that are not integer multiples of clocks.

2. Is there any power for CLKOUT pins to supply clocks simultaneously ADC and DAC without Fanout Buffer?

3. I saw in the forum here that it was better to input the clock directly than to use CLKOUT. In the attached file, I'd like to hear your opinion on whether the 24.576MHz of CCHD957 should be supplied to ADC, DSP, and DAC or via CLKOUT is more appropriate.

Thank you.

Hello YggJ,

You can select the XMOS MCLK as your application wants but make sure that your DSP should have a stable MCLK all the time. In your case I guess, you have steady 24.576MHz source. So, no problem there.

Yes, The ASRC can convert the rate from 44.1/48KHz to 192KHz, no problem with that.

If they are that close, then I do not think you need a buffer. I would add a dampening resistor on the CLKOUT signal to help reduce reflections. The pins on this part have adjustable drive strength and slew so they should have no problems driving two loads. So, you can use the CLKOUT pin as a MCLK.
