Hi there,

I'm looking to create an adaptable system which keeps bringing me back to the ADAU1701 as a potential solution,

I plan to have 2 of the outputs hardwired to a 2 channel amplifier board, both in an enclosure, hence I'm trying to workout if I can change the outputs via software to allow switching controlled by a GPIO or AUX ADC rather than by physically rerouting the cables.

Along the lines of this

DAC0
DAC1
DAC2
DAC3

2

I might be using the board as offered by tiny sine, however would need to adapt their implementation.

this is the board, and they have their Sigma DSP attached lower down the page https://www.tinyosshop.com/tsa1702b

though it doesn't appear that they have exposed the GPIO's so would either need to attempt micro soldering, or re-purpose the mid EQ ADC pot if I can use as a selector?

any advice much appreciated

Hello tededd,

Yes, this is easy to do to have an AUX ADC setup to give four different outputs. Then route the outputs to control externally controlled muxes (switches) to get the signal flow you desire.

I am attaching a project that uses an AUXADC to select from four different filters. Instead of filters you will just use a MUX.

You have a lot of different options so it might be a little tough to fit all the code into one project but give it a try.

You should not duplicate the filters, just switch the inputs to the filters so you save on instructions.

This would be a good video for my YouTube channel... Hmm... Been so busy that I have not had time to make new ones!

just been watching through your videos now, thanks.

Im also looking in the DSP file for the tinysine board, under the register control, GPIO section I notice there are 12 MP total. possibly all in use already... just 3 I wonder if available, but possibly controlling LEDs...though not sure it has any run from the adau1702.. MP0=input GPIO debounce, MP6&7=nput GPIO No debounce... how do I establish if they are useable?, other than waiting and hoping I get an answer from Tinysine.

I'll have a play with your file and see if I can get my head around how to incorporate what I'm after...
