ADC TDM/I2S -> DAC TDM/I2S ADAU1467WBCPZ300RL
Hi, I am a home hobbyist.
Retired from the Army last summer so a lot of time to goof around.
I am building a controller that uses a 4 channel TI ADC to ADAU1467WBCPZ300RL using I2S/TDM.
Is there any examples i can look at to see how to probably configure the ADAU1467 and generate the C and H files?
My goal is to have a STM32 load the ADAU1467WBCPZ300RL at boot so I can use firmware updates to adjust the ADC / DSP.
The ADAU1467 would split four channels into eight, allow SPI reads to adjust volume/gain and set an individual bandpass filters for each output channel.

Hello Steed,
You can certainly do this.
Firstly, you have to use sigma studio to design your signal flow. once you are done designing your flow, link compile the project and export the system files.
You will have a bunch of files exported in folder you chose. You can see three header files; you can use that to boot/control the SigmaDSP from your uC.
Here is the tutorial for interfacing uC with SigmaDSP, this example uses teensy uC.
I suggest you use sigma studio until your DSP works well with ADC/DAC. Sigma studio is very powerful at troubleshooting, once your everything in your system works fine, then you boot it from your uC.
Regarding I2S/TDM signals from ADC, I could create a project with all configurations and send that to you, however I need to know a few things like MCLK in your system, it decides whether do I have use ASRC in the input side or not.
If your DSP and ADC are running off of a same MCLK, then no need for ASRC.
So, we will discuss all this further as you move forward.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Regards,
Harish
Evening Harish,
Thanks, do I need to use SigmaStudio, or can I use SigmaStudio+? I experimented with both and was able to output H files in both IDEs.
I am working on designing a custom controller. I have quite a bit of experience with CAN and STM32 processors. I made quite a few CAN bridges over the years. Now I'm trying audio.
Basically, I will have a STM32H5 and CANFD that will interface with my bike. The STM32H5 will also configure my ADC, DAC and A2B (simulating main) using SPI. The idea is to have a windows UI that will make the DSP tunable, with the end result will be line level input (four channels) -> DSP (convert to eight channels)-> A2B -> Amp.
ADC: PCM6240QRTVRQ1
DSP: ADAU1467WBCPZ300RL
A2B: AD2437BCPZY (BN-BP Only)
MCLK: ECS-5032MV-245.7-BN-TR (24.576 MHz)
My MCLK goes to the DSP, A2B, I assumed the ADC would get time from the DSP TDM.
Below is a screenshot of how I was trying to setup the DSP. The first 2nd order block has two stages (low pass and high pass). This is to act as a band pass filter to the second 2nd order block which has ten stages to act as a EQ.
The goal would be to repeat this eight times, taking four inputs from the ADC and converting it to eight channels. Each channel will have its own low pass and high pass band pass filter along with its own EQ.
My hope is I can make this work with the frequency, gain and channel volume all tunable by SPI. This will allow me to use a UI and have the DSP tunable based on UI inputs saved to the STM32H5 flash.
