Thread Summary

The user inquired about implementing a delay block in SigmaStudio for the ADAU1772 eVal PCB but found it unavailable in the device tree. The support engineer confirmed that the ADAU1772 does not support delay blocks due to its FastDSP core, which is optimized for biquad filters. For delay lines, the engineer recommended moving to the ADAU1787, which includes both SigmaDSP and FastDSP cores.

Hi,

I would like to have a delay block in SigmaStudio for the ADAU1772. Is this possible? I have the ADAU1772 eVal PCB and SigmaStudio, but I don't see the delay block anywhere in the device tree for this IC. It seems to be available for other models though.

Thanks,

Hello eddie3ruff,

Unfortunately, this DSP doesn't have a delay blocks. It's a fastDSP which calculates biquad filters real fast.

If you really want to implement delay lines, then you will have to move to ADAU1787 which has SigmaDSP core and FastDSP core.
