Split channel to separate serial output
Hi!
How do I create a project in Sigma Studio that accepts an SPDIF input and has an i2s output split into two separate serial out ports?
I'm looking to connect to an external DAC based on two chips – each chip is stereo, so I need two serial outputs from the adau1452:
serial_0 out 2 L channels (one of the L channels in reverse phase)
serial_1 out 2 R channels (as above)
How should I set up the routing matrix and serial ports in the hardware configuration in Sigma Studio 4.6?
Any help will be appreciated !

Hello yabba235,
Please refer the below project, I think that's what you are looking for.
You didn't mention about the sample rate, so I set it up for the default rate which is 48KHz. And also, you didn't mention about serial output port clocking, so I set the DSP as serial clock master (that's a recommended configuration from signal integrity point of view for higher rates), so the clock and data will be in the same direction.

Thank you very much - I wasn't sure about the output numbering (probably due to the fact that each serial output can support 8 channels and I meant the Standard two-channel mode)
Hello yabba235,
There are four serial input and output ports. serial port 0 and 1 supports Stereo, TDM4, TDM8, TDM16 channels and serial port 2 and 3 support Stereo, TDM4, TDM8 channels.
serial in/out port 0 - 0 to 15 channels (16 channels)
serial in/out port 1 - 16 to 31 channels (16 channels)
serial in/out port 0 - 32 to 39 channels (8 channels)
serial in/out port 0 - 40 to 47 channels (8 channels)
Totally 48 input channels and 48 output channels are supported.
If you are using stereo mode, then only one stereo is supported for each port. That will be first two channel of that port.
serial in/out port 0 - channel 0-1
serial in/out port 1 - channel 16-17
serial in/out port 2 - channel 32-33
serial in/out port 3 - channel 40-41.
Since you asked for two stereos out, I used output port 0 and 1 hence channel 0-1 and channel 16-17 respectively.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Harish
