Thread Summary

The user inquired about inconsistent hex value representation in the param.h file for DC Input entries. The support engineer explained that in 32-bit mode, both hex and 8.24 values are shown, while in other modes, only the 8.24 value is displayed. The engineer provided screenshots and examples to illustrate the difference in value representation between modes.

I don't understand why in some cases the param.h file shows the hex value of DC Input entry and in other cases the hex values aren't showed.
There is a specific settings to show always either values?

Hello StevenNob,

When I used 10 DC cell and exported the files, I get an 8.24 number value in the param.h file.

I didn't get any hex value in the DC cell's value parameter.

when I input 8.24 value or hex value into the DC cell, the file always shows 8.24 value.

32-bit mode:

when you input a number to DC cell in 32-bit mode, then you get both hex and 8.24 values in the file. Find the attached screenshots.

Regards,

Harish

I attached an example with two different project, same DC cell.
Case 1:

/* Module DC1 - DC Input Entry*/
#define MOD_DC1_COUNT 1
#define MOD_DC1_DEVICE "IC1"
#define MOD_DC1_DCINPALG145X3VALUE_ADDR 776
#define MOD_DC1_DCINPALG145X3VALUE_FIXPT 0xA0A0A0A3
#define MOD_DC1_DCINPALG145X3VALUE_VALUE SIGMASTUDIOTYPE_INTEGER_CONVERT(-1600085853)
#define MOD_DC1_DCINPALG145X3VALUE_TYPE SIGMASTUDIOTYPE_INTEGER

Case 2:
/* Module DC1 - DC Input Entry*/
#define MOD_DC1_COUNT 1
#define MOD_DC1_DEVICE "IC1"
#define MOD_DC1_DCINPALG145X1VALUE_ADDR 24
#define MOD_DC1_DCINPALG145X1VALUE_VALUE SIGMASTUDIOTYPE_8_24_CONVERT(-87.3725489974)
#define MOD_DC1_DCINPALG145X1VALUE_TYPE SIGMASTUDIOTYPE_8_24
