Importing from Sigma Studio 4.7 to Sigma + issue
Hello guys,
i'm trying to import an adau1466 project from SigmaStudio 4.7 to SigmaStudio+ 2.4.0 but it fails.
I've hit link-compile-download and exported the system files.
In SigmaStudio+ i'm importing the generated xml file (not the netlist one).
I've followed the wiki guide.
Can you help?
Is there a log file i can check perhaps?
Thanks a lot
Omar

Hello Omar,
At the moment there is no way to convert a program from the old SS 4.7 over to SS+.
I do not like that either but you have to recreate the project by dragging in the blocks using the SS+ library objects and start from scratch.
Sorry for the really bad news. I complained about this several years ago! But, the programmers are still working hard to get all the features added so this is not a high priority.

Hello Dave,
ah, that's bad news. I just started working on a new adau1466 project for a customer and i opted for SigmaStudio 4.7 but i can't make the master Control Port interface write and read to work. I've tested on adau1452 and it works flawlessly. Actually i can't make anything from master Control Port working on the adau1466.
The import function would have been really helpful so i could migrate this and other projects to Sigma+. Thank you for trying anyway!
Omar
Hello Omar,
What are you trying to use the master control port for? For an external delay memory? to save data to EEPROM? I am not aware of issues. Perhaps I can help to figure out what is going wrong? Are you seeing any data or clocks coming out? Feel free to contact me directly and share the project. You have my email address.
I just looked for an example file and do not have one but, I can ask others who might have an example file.
Thanks,
Dave T
