I'm a beginner with ADAU. I know ADAU 1761 has a noise reduction algorithm, and I'd like to use NLMS to implement noise reduction. Is that feasible?

Are you using ADAU1761 or ADAU1787, because your heading says ADAU1787 and your latest reply says ADAU1761. Both are sigma200 cores but have huge differences.

The ADAU1761 does have NLMS block that you can use for some kind of noise cancelling.

Regarding the noise reduction module, please refer the wiki details of that block below. It says the block is designed for 16kHz system, since this DSP doesn't support multi rate processing, you will have to run your entire application at 16KHz. Please see if that's feasible for you and it also says this block works fine with voice signal but not with music signal. I have attached the link below.

I'm using the ADAU1787, and my company's product is a microphone.

I want to implement noise reduction on the microphone.

I saw that the ADAU1761 has a noise reduction module. Can I use NLMS to do something similar to noise reduction on the ADAU1787?

Additional information:
I only have ADAU1787, I do not have ADAU1761.
