ADAU1466_Sigmastudio4.7_Memorypage_Question
I have a question regarding the use of ADAU1466 with SigmaStudio 4.7. In my design, I'm using PM Upper, and the exported .xml file shows:
<Program>
<Name>PM Lower</Name>
<Address>49152</Address>
<AddrIncr>4</AddrIncr>
<Size>49152</Size>
/Program>
<Program>
<Name>SECOND_PAGE_ENABLE</Name>
<Address>63641</Address>
<AddrIncr>2</AddrIncr>
<Size>2</Size>
<Data>0x00, 0x01</Data>
</Program>
<Program>
<Name>PM Upper</Name>
<Address>49152</Address>
<AddrIncr>4</AddrIncr>
<Size>27752</Size>
(The <Data> </Data> tags were omitted.)
However, in the Param.h file, I only see MEMORYPAGE 0, and no MEMORYPAGE 1 appears. Why is this happening?

Hello Pjs,
Could you please share your SigmaStudio project file?
Having your project will allow us to directly test read/write access to the upper memory page, instead of recreating a large design from scratch.
I will explain the SS transactions of page 0 and 1, once we get your project.

Harish

Hi Harish,
Thanks for your email.
Unfortunately, our original project cannot be shared at the moment. However, I’ve created a simplified test version to reproduce the issue. The project file is attached here for your reference.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need further details.
Best regards,
Pjs
Hello Pjs,
The project that you shared does not reach memory page 1. so I couldn't see the memory page 1 in the exported files. So, I have created and tested a separate project, and in this case the param.h file shows the parameter is mapped to memory page 1.
I will also share the example project we used for your reference.

Hi Harish,
Thank you for providing the detailed explanation and the example project. It was very helpful.
Apologies for the delayed reply; I was on vacation last week.
I have reviewed the example project you shared. I realized my earlier misunderstanding — I was focusing on the Program Memory (PM) aspect, but the key was indeed the Data Memory (DM) usage. After adjusting my project to increase the DM allocation, I have successfully triggered the compiler to utilize Memory Page 1. The parameters are now correctly mapped, and I can see the MEMORYPAGE 1 definitions in the exported param.h file.
Thanks again for your support.
Best regards,
Jin Shan Pan
