ADAS1000 Issue in reading ECGCTL or any other register in SPORT interface

Dear Analog Device,

I am seeking technical support for interfacing the ASAS1000 with the ADSP-BF526 processor using the SPORT interface through ADI APIs. Currently, the system is operating in data mode, where ADAS data is received via the ADI_DEV_EVENT_BUFFER_PROCESSED event. In this context, I would like to know whether it is possible to read registers from the ADAS1000 (or any other device) simultaneously while data reception is in progress.

Could you please provide guidance on this? A reference example using ADI APIs would be highly helpful.
