How to use Gpio Expander

Hello Everyone,

Am using ADAU1452 DSP Processor. I need to control (multiple)push buttons using singe GPIO. Is it possible to control using one GPIO.

Or-else using resistor ladder network can be able to control push buttons.

If the above things are not possible. Can I use GPIO Expander to control. Please do needful.
