At present I am developing a board around the ADAU145X processor with an input header, output header and a front panel header keeping it as generic as possible.

Then there will be Input board with ADCs, output boad with DACs and front panel board with LEDs and potentiometers.

This is too much hardware in the open and too many PCBs than what I would like.

Is there any upcoming sigmaDSP processor/s with self boot, 8CH CODEC and atleast 6 AUX ADCs or something close?

If yes, and if it is going to be any time soon then I can stall my current efforts.

Thanks!!

Hello KKSL,

For obvious reasons I cannot comment on what we are working before it is released. So I suggest you continue with your design. If I were you I would design on the main board the AD1938 or 1939 codec since most designs you would need some ADCs and DACs. Plus, if you want to run at 96kHz and 192kHz sampling rate then having the codec on the same PCB will help with the signal transmission. When you have to go between boards it is more difficult to keep good signal integrity.
