Thread Summary

The user inquired about using the ADAU1467 to build a microphone array. The final answer confirms that SigmaStudio includes a Beamforming Designer block for a two-microphone array, with a multi-microphone block planned for future release. The engineer also mentioned high-quality acoustic echo cancellation and noise reduction blocks in late beta testing, which will require a licensing fee.

Regarding microphone beamforming, there is a block in the standard libraries under ADI Algorithms -> Beamforming -> Fixed -> Beamforming Designer. This provides a GUI that shows the directional pattern and frequency response for a two-microphone array with a given spacing and delay. A block that supports more than two microphones is on our road map, but we do not have an estimated release date at this.

We are currently in late beta testing of very high quality blocks for acoustic echo cancellation and noise reduction. Note that these pass the highest levels of standards body certification. However, these blocks will require a licensing fee per unit shipped implementing the algorithm. Please PM me for details.

Hi Ken.M,

Thanks for your reply!

Does SigmaStudio has ready in-built blocks for noise cancellation for all the 4 mics of ADAU1467 eval board?

If yes then please let me know from where I can get it.
