Good evening Dave,
sorry if I go out if topic but I need urgent information

I have read, but I do not remember where Analog at the beginning of 2018 would have commercialized a new DSP similar to ADAU1701 then with DAC and ADC present in the chip, many ports of IN / OUT and with the possibility to play even audio files.
Does anyone have any news about it?
If this is the code of this new DSP.
Thank you

Thanks Dave

I deal with underwater ultrasonic communication and I have made several models with ADAU1701 a MCU and OTP to reproduce some voice messages.

We want to create a very small communicator so I'm looking for a unique component that can at least handle 1024 instructions with fs / 96,000 Hz, which has DAC and ADC and some IO port and must be able to play audio files

The layout will be circular in shape with a diameter of 50 mm, so accepting all the components mentioned above is a very complicated undertaking.

The search for this new component that integrates everything is linked to the dimensions of the layout.

The supply voltage is not very important, 3.3 or 5 volts and the component should be a low cost.

I would have had to make the prototypes yesterday, but to date I have not yet found the right component.

Establishing volumes is very difficult, last year "who produces", I am just a designer has made 4500 pieces between the various models.

A DSP with the aforementioned characteristics could make it possible to renew what already exists by redesigning the projects with the new component, those who produce would invest in the design but would have a reduction in production costs.

I hope I have answered the questions.

Thank you

Hello Piero,

Unfortunately, we do not have a new DSP part that does what you describe all in one package.

The Sigma300/350 family of parts will be able to play audio files but there are no converters. The Sigma300 is the ADAU1452/51/50 parts and the Sigma 350 is the ADAU1462/63/66/67 parts. Those are the new parts recently released.

As you would expect there are other parts in the pipeline but I cannot share any info about them.

Can you describe what your application is?

What are the important requirements? Size? Power? Cost? Features?

What would you like to see in a new part?

When are prototypes due?

When would you go into production?

What kind of volumes do you anticipate?

Hi Dave,
is there any good news for the new DSP with the features of ADAU1701 but with inside it the possibility to play audio files?

This family is the worst documented and supported chip of the World.
I withdrew from these processors in several projects due to a complete lack of support.
I have lost a lot of time, I do not even count money ...
Wherever I can - I use old ADAU1442 and very old ADAU1701.
