An advice from experts.
Goodmorning everyone
I have written several applications using ADAU1701, I need to replace the DSP to play audio messages in PCM format or in any other format.
I need to sample at least 96000 Hz and I need to use SigmaStudio development software, I also need to generate SSB modulation.
Which device I recommend.
Thanks for collaboration.

Thank you Dave for the answer.
I need to play 7 different messages of 1 second each.
Surely in PCM format they occupy a lower amount of memory than the WAV format.
The need is to be able to directly insert messages into the memory of the DSP, so when you are going to write the external flash memory it will also have to contain the necessary messages.
With your experience, think that ADAU 1452 or 1467 can support this need.
Now I look at the 2 components, anyway your further advice is well appreciated.
Sorry for my horrible English but I hope that what's written is understandable

Hello piero,
Have a look at this post for ideas on how to implement a SSB modulator.

This was done using the 1701 but it can certainly be ported to one of our larger DSP products. If you need to playback PCM or WAV files then you will need a lot of on-chip memory if the files are small and off-chip memory if the files are larger. We have some newer parts with more memory. The starting point will be the ADAU1452 which can use external memory and playback sound files. If you want to try to keep the sound files on-chip then look into the ADAU1467 which is the new part with lots of memory. However, it will still only hold a short sound file.
Look here for an explanation of the Wav player cell.

All of these parts are DSP only so you will need a codec or at least a DAC depending on your system needs.
