I want to contral ADAU1701 with a 8bit MCU, and I have seen the datasheet of ADAU1707. However I just get a few CONTROL REGISTER DETAILS in datasheet. For example, I've put volume controls module into SigmaStudio, and programs it into ADAU1701. Now how can I control the volume with MCU. I don't see any world about the register of volume contoling.

Hello schummacher,

There are no "registers" for the cells used in SigmaStudio. The registers you see in the datasheet are for controlling the setup of the part. The SigmaStudio program uses data RAM to store parameters used in the program like gain or filter coefficients and other settings that are part of the SigmaStudio program. So you have to find out where in RAM those object are located and write to those memory locations. This is what SigmaStudio does on your computer to control the program running in the DSP. If you look at the "Capture" window in SigmaStudio you see that the SigmaStudio program sends control data to the DSP to control the program running in the DSP. Your microcontroller needs to do it in the same exact way.

Please start with the tutorials in our SigmaStudio Wiki page.

Then you can search this forum where you will finds posts about how to do this.
