This part seems to be delayed, along with others in it's family?

Website still says release is July 2017...

Gary,

The ADAU1462 and ADAU1466 (the 72-pin package parts) will be released within the next 1-2 weeks. The ADAU1463 and ADAU1467 (the 88-pin package parts with additional functionality) will be released in the first half of September.

Feel free to message me directly if you have any questions about this new SigmaDSP family.

Ken,

I was just about to post the same question as Gary. It’s good to know I’ll be able to get some ADAU1466 devices soon.

I have one additional technical question. In one of Dave Thib’s posts, if I remember correctly, he mentioned that the ASRC Input had been improved on the new ADAU146x devices. Do you know if the ‘first lock click’ issue that the ADAU1452 ASRC exhibits has been fixed on the ADAU146x devices?

The ‘first lock click’ issue is described in this thread in a post by Heidi (Lasse) towards the bottom of the page.

I’m currently using a similar work around in an ADAU1452 based design as the one proposed by Lasse. However, I’d like to remove the extra DSP blocks from the design when it gets migrated to an ADAU1466 based design, if they are no longer required.

Roger,

I'm sorry I missed this question.

Yes. The ASRC lock flag bit bug from the ADAU145x parts has been fixed in the '6x family.

The ADAU145x and ADAU146x family are very similar. Both have substantially more powerful cores than the ADAU144x family. The '62 and '66 and code pin compatible, drop-in replacements for the ADAU1452. The differences are (a) substantially more memory, (2) the S/PDIF transmitter and receiver now support speeds up to 192 kHz, and (c) bug fixes in the ASRCs. The ADAU1463 and ADAU1467 are in slightly larger packages. They provide much more serial audio I/O flexibility with the addition of eight additional data pins that can be configured as inputs or outputs, more MPx (GPIO) pins, and two additional AUXADC channels.
