Hi all,

We are migrating from an Adau1701 to an Adau1450. The Adau1701 datasheet states, that after a RESET, the DSP is clearing all RAM registers (setting them to zero).

I wondered if the Adau1450 is doing the same thing? It would improve loading DM0 and DM1 data after RESET a lot, if I can skip loading all locations wich should be zeroed.

There is nothing in the datasheet about it.

With kind regards,

Reini

Hello Reini,

The RAM content will be reset by the SigmaStudio framework software. It is not done in hardware from just a reset. It is done when the program is loaded and first run.

Hi again Dave,

I already responded to your answer, and gave it some more thougths :-)...

When the 1450 is programmed (with it's program disabled), the RAM contents should also be loaded (with component parameters, generated by SigmaStudio). When the core is released (starting executing the loaded program), it can't be that the first thing it is going to do is to clear the RAM I just programmed... So now I am a little confused :-)

Kind regards,
