When i pass an audio signal through the envelope blocks (both endless loop than reset) i hear clicks. I suspect these blocks don't have slew rate, i tried to search between parameter list too but nothing such as a slew rate parameter to update appears. Can you confirm? If so, is there any update on these blocks in next release?

O.T.

When is next release expected to arrive? I'm waiting the fix with some Master Control Port block issues.

Thank you!

Omar

Hello Omar,

I am also waiting for the next release! I am told at the end of June but that is rapidly approaching.

Are you using the peak envelop cells? Those will track the peak value instantaneously when it rises. It will decay based on the decay settings but the attack time is 0. This would produce clicks most likely.

So try the MS and Average envelopes. The MS cell is called "Signal Envelope" and calculates the Mean-Square of the signal. The "Running Average" cell does as its name implies, keeps the running average. So both of these cells have an adjustable time constant that applies to the attack so you can make them rise more slowly. Give those a try.

Note, if you want RMS you have to take the square root externally of the MS cell.

Hello Dave,

i used the envelopes under Volume Controls folder but i completely missed those under Dynamics Processors! After testing they fit very well in my application, i used the Peak ones and there are no clicks.

About next release i was told initially at the end of May but then i read it was postponed for the end of June, i'm still hoping and checking almost every day cause i have a couple of applications under development that need that Master Control Port fix

Thank you for helping!

Omar
