adau1452 eval board how to use MP6 or MP7 led with with limiter active flag?
Hi,
I'm trying to use the built-in leds MP6 / MP7 to display the active flag of a limiter.
In Register Window / multipurpose tab, I can set up the MP6 mode as output and the led's bright but continuously...
How should I do to see this led on when limiter is active?
Many thanks in advance.
Best regards.
Chris

Hello Chris,
A quick test with a DC source shows that your GPIO is set up correctly, it controls LED5 on the evaluation board just fine. So the problem must be within the Limiter block.
A known bug with the Limiter: https://ez.analog.com/message/173230?commentID=173230#comment-173230
has its two red pins mislabeled. The center pin, not the bottom one, is your flag. Connect this pin to your GPIO and it works as expected.
Placing a DC Block filter after the ADC removes its small DC bias characteristic of audio ADCs which shows up as a residual reading (usually between -45 and -80 dB). Since the Limiter responds down to DC, this also improves its performance.
Best regards,
Bob
