Hi,

Could you please reply to following questions ?

a) ADAU1452 I2C Slave timing spec of tDH (data hold time) is 0.9 us (min) in datasheet, but is this correct ?

We thought data hold time on standard I2C specification is typically 0 us (min).

If it is truly 0.9 us, it is rather hard condition for us to achieve, so please make sure.

b) In case 0.9 us is correct, if real timing of tDH is > 0 us or >0.9 ns(nano second), does it consequent to any communication failure ?

Best Regards,

Hello,

You are most correct that there was an error in the specifications. It should be a min of 0 and a max of 0.9us.

This will need to be changed in a future revision.

The part does conform to all the standard I2C specifications.

Hello Dave,

Please let me make sure "error in the specification" you mentioned is, datasheet description isn't it ?

Otherwise, datasheet description is valid but it means silicon is not conform to the standard ?

The Silicon does conform to standards and was tested to conform. The error is in the datasheet.
