Hello,

We have come across a requirement to have a DSP with the Audio Codes that can take the MIC input and provide the normalised (0dB) peak output on LineOut.

The main DSP functions required are,

-Noise Reduction Filter,

-Crackle & Pop Filter,

-High Pass Filter,

-Low Pass Filter

I was wondering if AD has any devices that could fit in to this requirement.

The device should have stereo channel.

I recommend tha 145x. The only element that we might not have is the Crackle & Pop filter.

The noise reduction exists on demand.

Miguel

Maybe I misunderstood the question, but is there a 145x that includes a CODEC?

The ADAU145x does not have a built-in codec, so it would need to be paired with something like an AD1938.

If the planned algorithms for noise reduction or crackle&pop are not too processor intensive, something like the ADAU1701 could work as a single-chip solution. However, this would require more work to create custom algorithms for noise and pop reduction, and would be more limited in its processing capabilities.
